Upcoming Events -- Vigil, Parade Prep, and Parade
1)  Peace Vigil on 6/28 at the southeast corner of 11 mile and Woodward at 12 noon.

2) July 3 at 6:00 p.m.  will be a 4th of July parade prep. session at Gary Zirulnik's home to get the doves in 'parade' order - pizza will be served. Gary's house is at 25865 York.

3)  July 4 is the Huntington Woods parade... as in the past our message is one of promoting Peace.  This is a fun, family parade.  We want to continue being welcome participants.  Therefore we request there be no political signage.  We will meet at the Bank parking lot at the corner of Woodward and Salem (north of Lincoln; i.e. 10 1/2 mile road) at 9:30 a.m.

HW Peace Group Meetings

Video of "Iran: Threat or Another Lie?" Event
For those of you who were unable to make the Ritter/ Cohen Tour of Duty event in January -- or if you would like to hear (see) it again -- it is now available online. This is an hour-plus video presentation.

More than 400 people joined us on January 26, to hear Scott Ritter, former UN Arms Inspector in Iraq, and Jeff Cohen, author of Cable News Confidential and founder of FAIR (Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting). Here is Mike Duffy's Reflection on Scott Ritter's Talk.

Don't Want Your Child Contacted by Military Recruiters?
Did you know that No Child Left Behind requires high schools to turn over private information about students to military recruiters? You can protect your family's privacy. OPT-OUT! Print this Opt-Out form, fill it out, and send it to your child's high school to prevent recruiters from contacting them.

Note on photo above: our group and its giant peace doves flying above the parade route were one of the highlights of the 4th of July parade! (Photo above from 2004 parade. More photos.)
